The GTMTBA has graciously donated free advertising on the GTMTBA’s Traverse Area Trails Map, Your Guide to Cycling, Skiing and hiking in the Traverse City Area, and free maps, in order to to provide support to the following local Traverse City non-profit organizations:

TART Trails

Traverse Area Recreational Trails is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1998 with a mission to build trails and advocate for active living and outdoor recreation. It began when four individual trail groups in the Traverse City area united to create a stronger force for recreation and alternative transportation in northwest Michigan. TART is dedicated to providing recreation and transportation opportunities as well as preserving open space corridors through a network of trails.




North American VASA

The North American VASA is in its 36th year and is a premier nordic ski event that takes place every February. VASA is also one of Michigan’s premier cross-country ski trails that offer those of all abilities the opportunity to experience the ultimate in grooming technology amongst towering white pines and through the pristine serenity of the Pere’ Marquette State forest of Northern Michigan.


VASA Ski Club

The VASA Ski Club was founded in 2009 as a community cross-country ski club for the Grand Traverse area. The club partners with the VASA organization to actively promote and encourage cross-country skiing through recreation and competition.



Grand Traverse Hiking Club

The Grand Traverse Hiking Club is a chapter of the North Country Trail Association and is comprised of a small group of outdoor enthusiasts located in and around the Traverse City, Michigan area.




Mt. Holiday 

Mt. Holiday is a non-profit youth oriented organization operating a twelve run ski area in Traverse City. They offer a huge range of activities and events for the entire family, including weddings, banquet events, meeting facilities, skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking, disc golf, geocaching, and more.
